Passport Office

Opening Hours

Our Passport office is open from 10 am to 3pm on weekdays (excluding Consulate closure dates). We also take telephone calls from 9am to 5pm. Completed Passport applications can be lodged at our office (no appointment necessary) or by mail addressed to the Passport Office. If you choose to post your application, we strongly recommend you to use registered mail or a reputable courier service. The Consulate cannot be held responsible for applications or documents lost in transit.

Passports are forwarded to applicants by first class mail. If you wish to receive your Passport through another service, please provide a pre-paid envelope with your application or an additional $15 fee and we will return it by a courier service. Applicants may also collect their passport during public hours (10-3). Only the applicant will be permitted to collect their passport. Parents of minor children may collect their child's passport on production of a valid photo ID.

Validity of Passports

Infants (up to age 3) are issued with a 3 year passport.
Children aged 3-17 are issued with a 5 year passport.
Persons aged 18 and over are issued with a 10 year passport.
In certain cases (e.g. where a previous passport has been lost or stolen), the Passport Office may restrict the validity of a replacement passport.
